Cajsan Helmi is more than a beautiful café. Its rooms have welcomed generations of guests, and today they pair carefully restored details with the warmth of a modern tea room.

A café with nearly two centuries of stories
Café life began on this site in 1827, and the oldest part of the present restaurant building was completed in 1839. Its elegant halls, period character and views towards Kaisaniemi Park create an atmosphere that feels both distinctly Helsinki and wonderfully removed from the rush outside.

Yes. You can drop in for tea, coffee, handmade cakes and savoury pastries. Afternoon Tea requires advance booking.

The café is generally step-free, with a 2 cm entrance threshold and an accessible toilet. Guests who need assistance may arrive directly at the entrance by car.
